The Fool is the medieval court jester. Tarot Meanings: High Priestess
The High Priestess represents the mysterious world that lies beyond our conscious minds. We often hear of the veil that separates the two worlds and she sits just in front of this veil, urging go deeper and look beyond what we see in our world of matter to find what secrets are held within the world of mind and spirit.

Tarot Meanings: Empress
The Empress is the life giving mother. She is the nurturing, caring, loving mother that reigns in nature and urges you to maintain your connection to the earth. In readings she sometimes represents some aspect of motherhood but often it goes beyond just simple mothering and on to the creation of life and making life worthwhile through loving care and attention.
At times, she can represent abundance in all forms but especially those things that involve the senses, food, pleasure, love, needs being met and exceeded. Tarot Meanings: Emperor
When you think of the Emperor, you think of a man that is stern, has little sense of humor, expects 110% out of everyone and even more out of himself. He keep everyone and everything in working order and jobs are accomplished according to schedule. But he does not rule by whip and anger. He is authoritarian but respected.
If your current situation is chaotic, he urges you to get things in order. Fix the problems, tie up the loose ends and get the trains running on time. Tarot Meanings: Hierophant
The Hierophant deals with learning in all its many forms and the groups that facilitate learning. We all know and understand the learning that takes place in formal settings such as schools, but we often forget that the majority of our learning takes place in settings outside of an actual school. We learn from dealing with others. Clubs, teams, churches, exercise groups, the companies we work for, even the people we deal with during our daily tasks of shopping teach us what is expected and permitted in our society.
But not all the learning in these group situations is good for us. If you run with the wrong group you can be taught behavior which is not acceptable in our society and which can end up getting you in trouble. The Hierohpant urges you to make sure the group you are dealing with is helpful and uplifting to you. Don't allow yourself to be stifled by energies that are not supportive to you and trust yourself to know the difference.

Tarot Meanings: The Lovers
Love and Sex are perhaps the two subjects that stay on the mind of more people than any other topic on a regular basis. This car represents both love and sex and more at the same time.
When this card shows in a reading, it often represents a deep love. One that may or may not involved sex. It is the attraction, the chemistry, the thoughts and feelings and everything else that goes into the equation in which two or more people are drawn together and can include not just a one on one relationship but a relationship among a group of people that join forces for a common cause.
At times, the card can represent a crossroad in front of you. One where you must choose between right and wrong, whether to go against your personal beliefs or the truth or a lie. Just remember that often what is right for you may seem to be wrong for others, but you can only be responsible for your own life.

Tarot Meanings: The Chariot
The Chariot is a card that talks about emotional control but unlike the Emperor who deals with completely suppressing the emotion in favor of logic and reason, the Chariot knows that emotions can be trainined and used to help you obtain your goals.
Too often in life we are our own worse enemies and we allow our emotions to run away with us, sending us off in various directions and breaking our focus on the matter at hand. Emotions can be used to enthrall and energize those around us, they can learn power to our creative processes and urge to less fortunate to greatness, yet if we let our emotions run away with us, they can cause hurt and pain. It is by controlling our emotions, not killing them that we become the most powerful.
When the Chariot shows up in a reading, it is often reminding you to take control of your emotions, don't keep your emotions in a uproar by complaining or by thinking "Oh poor me the world is out to get me". Instead use that energy to take action, to fix something that is not working right, to take charge of a situation, to clean up the mess that has been made, for these are the actions that will change your situation.
The Chariot also is a messenger of victory and success, but only if you control your emotions and prevent things from distracting you from your goal.

Tarot Meanings: Strength
The Strength card is not speaking of physical strength but rather inner strength. The strength to remain clam when everything around you is falling apart, the strength to overcome the emotions that hold you back and prevent you from being all you can be for it is only when we can overcome these emotions that we can find that quiet place within us where we can hear the voice of God, guding us along our path.
When this card appears in a reading, if you are lack or problems in your life it is reminding you that you can overcome the inner emotions that hold you back and bring forth those emotions that will allow you to soar. Tarot Meanings: The Hermit
When we think of a hermit we think of a bearded old man in ragged clothing that has chosen to live away from the eye of mainstream society. He represents the desire to turn away from a life of stuggling to have the material things of the world and finding peace and solice in the inner world where the voice of God is heard during the quiet times.
If we are to learn true and complete wisdom, we must strip away the distractions that life throws at us at every turn. It starts with quieting the inner turmoils that is within us and once that is mastered we move on to quieting the outter turmoil of the world around us so we are left with perfect quiet and can commune in solitude with the creator of it all.
When the Hermit appears in a reading, it is a call to put aside the "things" of life and find that quietness so you can listen for a message is awaiting you. No matter how crazy your living arrangement make your life seem, do not give up those moments of quietness for it is you who will lose in the long run as you cut yourself off from the infinite wisdom.

Tarot Meanings: Wheel of Fortune
The Wheel of Fortune talks about fate. But before you can understand the card you have to understand the basics of how fate works in our lives. We are not destined to any specific event but before we were born we decided on a lesson to be learned or strived for in this life. Our lives were designed to allow opportunities for us to learn this lesson and we often go through similar events over and over again until we do learn the lesson.
When the card shows up in a reading it is often fore telling of an event that pertains to a life lesson. This could be something as simple as suddenly realizing something you have struggled with in your mind for years or as that a twist of fate is stepping up the learning process a couple of notches. If you have been worrying on a specific problem try taking a few steps back and looking at it with the spiritual eyes instead of your logical brain and the answer may well be found.

Tarot Meanings: Justice
The Justice card reminds us that the Justice that we seek is based on the justice promised by the Highest Power. It is a reminder that justice is a balance of many things and involves not just right and wrong, but fairness and truth. It reminds us that even though the world may seem completely unfair to us, there is a divine balance that overrides everything.
For Justice to prevail, the law of cause and effect and the law of Karma will come into play. Every action we take has an affect on someone or something at some point in time and we never truly know what that affect will be until it comes into play. Karma on the other hand is what happens when the Universal balance works it way round to giving you what you are due based upon what you have put out in the past.
In readings this card often involves a legal matter but it can appear when you are concerned about fairness or getting what you are due. The card urges you to accept your responsiblities and do what needs to be done. Tarot Meanings: The Hanged Man
The Hanged Man is a card of opposites. It teaches us about facts of life but in contradictory ways such as in order to be in control of our lives we often have to allow someone else to control us. Often by sacrificing ourself we become the victor and that by standing still we can move forward with our lives.
The card urges us to look for solutions in the not so obvious. If you want someone to do what you want, then let them do what they want. If you feel the urge to do something right this moment, wait, delay it before putting it into action to get the best result. The answer you are seeking will come from one of these contradictory concepts.

Death is probably the most feared thing that can happen in any human beings life, or should I say will happen. For the death of our physical bodies will happen eventually. In a reading, the death card rarely if ever it talking about the actual physical death of someones body. Rather it means the death of a concept, an idea, a way of doing things, a time period, a relationship or something similar. A person with a temperate personality takes the middle ground much more often than the high or low road. Their world is one of moderation. They are the type of person that stays calm, cool and collected during a major upheaval when everyone around them is losing their head.
When the Temperance card turns up in a reading, it tends to indicate a need for balance. But it is not possible to remove all of what we call evil from the world for our existence is based on a balance of all things. Good and bad, light and dark, happy and sad.
No one likes to think that there is evil inside of us, but we too must be in balance. It is how we express the darker side of ourselves that determines the person that we are. Deny the darker side and you give it power. Give it too much power over you and it will destroy you. Accept the negativity that is a part of you and learn to deal with it. Tarot Meanings: The Tower
Life is filled with constant change, everything is growing, being used up or winding down its life cycle so we are use to nothing staying the same forever, which is good because it gives us time to adapt to the new situation, but the Tower card is about sudden change.
Have you ever seen in a movie where someone is hysterical with fright or worry to the point they can not communicate, forcing someone to give them a quick slap across the face to bring them back to reality. This is how suddenly things can change in our lives and when it happens this quickly, it is usually because we are being given a wake up call that something is wrong in our lives.
If you have not recently experienced this sudden upheaveal, it is coming, however it does not have to be extremely negative for you. Your own attitude about the situation and how you decide to handle it will determine the type of impact it has on your life.

The Moon card is perhaps one of the most mysterious cards in the deck. The world that we love and enjoy in the light of day, suddenly become deep and mysterious in the moonlight. Nothing is as it seems. A place of safety suddenly looks and feel dangerous. A joyful playground becomes a terror waiting to pounce on the unsuspecting. The world becomes filled with illusions and deception.
But it is not the night itself that holds the dangers we fear. Most of the fears are born of our imagination, of the unknown, of not being able to see into the darkness. There may be the few that work their evil under the darness of night, but they are rare when compared to the times when it was only our fertile imagination running wild.
When the Moon appears it a reading it is a warning that something is not as it appears to be. Something is being hidden from you or you are simply forgetting about something important to your decision and you should know that the potential for failure does exist.

Tarot Meanings: Judgement
Judgement comes in 2 forms. There is the kind where we look at what a person has done and past judgement that says you are bad or have done something wrong and deserve to be punished for it. Then there is the judgement when all sides of the situation are looked at and the truth of the matter is sought, without blame or damnation being placed.
When this card appears in a reading, it is often saying that we must make a judgement on something and we are being urged to judge without blame. Seek the truth of the situation and base your actions accordingly. If you are the one that is being judged, learn from the situation. Accept your role and aspire to do better, all the while knowing you are a worthy, strong and decent person.

Tarot Meanings: Two of Wands
The 2 of Wands is a card of personal power. But this is not the power that comes from muscle strength but rather the power that comes from courage and determination. I'm sure you have heard stories of how people have overcome tremendous obstacles from which most people could not imagine succeeding. Yet they looked down deep within themselves and found where God has given them the strength, courage and determination to succeed and they did exactly that. This is they type of personal power this card speaks of.
Our lives are controlled by the amount of power we choose to use. We make our own realities by the choices we choose to make in our lives. This is one of the many life lessons each person will learn in their own time. The amount of strength, courage, determination, boldness and daring we choose to put into affect in our lives determines our level of success, and how much happiness we have in our lives, yet while most everyone agrees with this statement, few fully realize how heavily this concept works in our lives.
When this card appears in a reading, it is urging you to look at your situation and see if you are missing an opportunity to use your person power to improve yourself and/or your world. Now may be the time to use a little extra dose of daring or boldness and take a giant step in a new direction.
When you look at your situation, if you find you are already using your power to a big degree, the card is urging you to make sure you are using your power wisely. Power used solely to control others, take from others or for no worthwhile purpose does not bring you closer to your goal and only serves to create situations where you will end up falling (or failing) to reach your goals. Use your power wisely.

Tarot Meanings: Three of Wands
The Three of Wands has 3 very distinct meanings, yet all three tend to work together and effort in one, tends to improve things in the other. It's first meaning is Success, the second is Partnership or Teamwork and the third is Leadership.
The success of this card is what you feel after you have gone through some trials and tribulations. Think about what it feels like when you run into one road block after another or when it feels like someone or something is intentionally trying to hold you back, then suddenly everything clears up and you accomplish your task.
When partnership and teamwork comes into play, you could be receiving a reminder that there is nothing wrong with asking for help or if could be that the answer to your question will be found while working with others. Teamwork can solve problems that seem insurmountable to an individual.
Leadership is what pulls it all together. Whether you are dealing with your personal life or a business, someone has to be in charge and make the decisions or almost nothing will get done. Just remember that as a leader, it is fine to bring in some of the team to help out on the issue which can mean the success that you are after.

Tarot Meanings: Four of Wands
Life is a series of effort and reward. It starts as a child when we behave as our parent wish and they reward us with a smile, their joy or perhaps a little treat. As we grow, the efforts often become harder but the rewards also become better. Our years of education gets us a good job. Our good job buys us the house we have always dreamed of and so forth.
Yet not everything we do it the right thing. We all make mistakes and often, we believe we are doing the right thing but our reward is loss, or pain and suffering because we made a mistake or did not foresee the entire situation as is really was. For some, a decision was made to intentional do wrong. In a way, we receive a reward for these things too, it just usually is not a reward we would really like.

Tarot Meanings: Five of Wands
The 5 of Wands is about lifes little problems that never seem to stop at times. Ever had a day where everything you touch seems to go wrong. You have a flat on the way to an important meeting, the kids wake up with a bad cold, the family pet that has been house broken for years, suddenlt leaves you 3 little presents in one day. Your boss gives you a dirty look the minute you walk in the door. Your watch battery dies just before you leave for an important meeting for which you must be on time. It is a never ending stream of little things that make you want to scream.
The card does not represent a major negative event in your life. It stands for those times when it seems like the entire world is upset with us and is taking it out one small chunk are a time. There is no one source or thing responsible for it all. If anything it seems like mother nature, God and all your belongs have turned against you are the same time. When this is happening, the card is urging you to take a deep breath, stand back for a moment and just laugh at it all. This too shall pass and you can make the decision to allow it to get you upset or just laugh it off and go on with your life.

Tarot Meanings: Six of Wands
The 6 of Wands is the card of victory. But unlike the spiritual victory shown in The Chariot card, this card represents a victory here in the material world. As humans it is important that we remain in balance, and for that reason alone there is nothing wrong with developing the material side of your life while also developing the spiritual side.
When this card appears in a reading, it usually is a sign that your efforts are about to pay off. Your goals are being met, the battle is about to be won or you are about to receive the recognition you deserve.
It is important to remember however that everything must be in balance. Do not allow arrogance to enter in while you enjoy your hard earned recognition. Pride goeth before the fall and if you tilt the balance of your life too far into that direction, you may find your hard earned rewards are taken from you after the fact. It is easy to forget that even though your physically did the work to accomplish the goal, you and the goal would not have been there without Gods help. Your talents are a gift from God and not mean to be used with spiteful pride.

Tarot Meanings: Seven of Wands
The 7 of Wands is about standing up for what you know is right. In this card we see a man, standing on a hill with this wand raised in battle with those standing at the bottom of the hill. He is defending his place, taking care of what is his and refusing to allow others to take it from him.
When this card appears in a reading, you must ask yourself if your current battle is worth fighting? Is the issue one that is deserving of your efforts? Will the rewards make the effort worthwhile? If so, by all means fight this battle to the end. Through aside your fear and take action for the side of what is right and good in life.
If the is some other motive for your actions and they are not pure and good, think seriously about letting this fight go for the prize won may not be worth the effort you must go through to get it.

Tarot Meanings: Eight of Wands
The 8 of Wands is about action, action that happens swiftly and powerfully. It is like a crack of thunder that suddenly happens on a clear day, surprisingly and forceful it can wake you up from the midday doldrums that seem to hit a few hours after lunch. That suddenly release of energy clears your mind and leave you ready to tackle the rest of your day with renewed vigor.
When this card shows in a reading, it speaks of the way before you being suddenly cleared like thunder striking and opening the way before you. Obstacles are swept away and anything holding you back is dissolved so you can move forward at any speed you choose. But be warned, just because the road in front of you is clear does not mean you must drive 90 miles an hour. To do so would be putting yourself in danger.
Moving ahead with your life in fast speed is fine occasionally but go too fast for too long and you will find you miss many of the things that make life worth living.
If the energies this card speak of are not already obvious in your life, take the time to review areas you have had problems with in the past. The solution to these problems may be found or the person or way to handle them will be known.

Tarot Meanings: Nine of Wands
The Nine of Wands is about inner strength and what I personally called, Stick-to-it-iveness. Through out our lives we are presented with many obstacles of overcome. Tarot Meanings: Two of Swords
Swords cards almost always deal with some sort of conflict which of course involves a duality. For there to be conflict, there must be 2 sides to the story. But the 2 of Swords is a double duality, the 2 upon the duality so to speak and it causes the conflict to be hidden behind the a barrier of protection.
So rather than you needing to look at what is working against you, you must first look at what is blocking you from knowing what is against you. There could be someone holding you back, but if they are all smiles to your face, they could be hidding the fact. There could be someone out to get you, but if they use the disquise of being your best friend, you may not realize it. You may be ready to make a change in your life, but there could be a problem you don't yet know about that will hold back your success. There are the types of things to ponder when this card appears in a reading.
At times the 2 of Swords can mean that you have blocked yourself from seeing the truth of a situation. The block may or may not be deliberately put in past. It is often hard to accept the truth especially when accepting the truth means we must admit things would wish could not happen, but know they are happening. Just remember that blocking the truth is living in the dark. You are blinded and making decisions without a proper knowledge base. It is better to accept the truth and deal with it than to live life in the dark and be held back.

Tarot Meanings: Four of Swords
The 4 of Swords is a card that is offering you a challenge to do one of the hardest things for any human being to do, be still and be quiet. Our modern world is filled with thousand upon thousands of people, places and things to keep our attention. Radio, newspapers, tv, the internet, buses, cars, everywhere we look we are being bombarded with information, all of it trying to keep your attention. To keep you focused on what they are offering and without regard to what is best for you personally.
With all this chatter going on around us, is it any wonder that people are losing the ability to hear the voice of God. It is only in these quiet times, when we can step away from the chatter and the bright lights that we are open to receive what God has to say and this card is urging you to be quiet and listen because God has something important to say to you.
When this card appears in a reading, it can mean God is trying to speak to you and you need to stop and listen or it can mean that you need to take a rest. If you have been ill, the rest is needed to recouperate. If you have been living a hectic life, it can mean the need to rest to prevent illness. It can also mean it is time to slow down and thing through your prospects. Take some time to gather your thoughts and feelings on the subject and make your decision from that aspect.

Tarot Meanings: Five of Swords
The 5 of Swords is a card about your own self interests. When we live a spiritual life, we strive to think of others more than we think of ourselves and we understand how we are just one small part of a whole that is so entwined, when we help others we also help ourselves. This concept is one of the first anyone on a spiritual path learns as they begin their path, but it is also one of the easiest to forget in a world where everything seems to be "ME" oriented.
When this card shows in a reading, it usually means you or someone you are dealing with has forgotten this basic concept of our spiritual world and are defining your hopes and desires in too tight of a circle.
There could be times when the card is urging you to put your own needs first instead of others first but these times should be obvious. If you are in pain, seek medical care, if a relationship has become toxic, get out of it.
The card can also mean there is dishonesty in your life. You or someone you know could be using tricks, lies, or even crimes to get what they want. In this case, the card is warning you that if you are the perpetrator, keep in mind that everything you do also affects you in the same way it affects those you are doing it to. If it is not you, it urges you to be on the look out for someone that may treat you this way.

Tarot Meanings: Seven of Swords
The 7 of Swords represents the type of person that works on their own. He doesn't work well in a group and prefers to be in charge of his own life and everything he does. Team work is not part of his equation. If this is you the card is urging you to look long and hard at how you do things. Is isolation from others really serving you? It does not mean you must run out and find a group to work with but rather it urges you to stay in contact with others and build up a support system around you that can help when you run into problems.
The card also asked are you running from something that you would rather not have to deal with? Sometime we have to face the things that make us uncomfortable in order to become comfortable in our everyday life, having negative situations hanging over us often causes more problems that the running away fixes.
At times the card can represent a mistake you have made that you are somewhat ashamed of. If this is the case, the card urges you to look at your mistake and ask is it really that serious. Everyone makes mistakes and if you do not deal with them on the conscious level they can eat away at your self confidence and hold you back from succeeding. Correct the error if possible and if not, move on. It is not doing the higher good any justice to hold on to these things.

Tarot Meanings: Eight of Swords
The 8 of Swords is almost like physical bondage. It speaks of times when we feel trapped by our circumstances of by others and don't know which way to turn for help or relief. It is when we feel our most powerless and vunerable. Sometimes we find ourselves in circumstances where there is not enough money to last through the month, a spouse or other loved one is not being true or in some cases being exceptionally cruel. We owe more money than we could ever pay and we feel like nothing will ever get any better.
For others, you may have all that you need but for some reason you feel trapped. There is nothing you can put your finger on but you are afraid to make a move for fear it will be wrong and everything will come crashing down around you. In either case, the situations can be hard to get out of because the more you worry about things the worse they become. The law of cause and affect sets in and instead of seeing a light at the end of the tunnel, you only see the tunnel reaching out to eternity and getting smaller and smaller as it move out before you.
The card urges you to remember you do have choices and no matter how bad things feel and look you can make changes and pull yourself out of it. The way may not be easy to find and it may take some work, but if you try hard enough and never give up you will find a way out. Stop trying to solve everything at one time and focus on one small step at a time. As each step is completed, you are that much closer to being free and before you know it, the light at the end of the tunnel will grow brighter and brighter until you are eventually freed.

If it is an event, it is almost always dealing with your work, whether you work for someone else or own your own business and it is almost always good news. Keep your eyes open for someone that will be bringing you good news on these issues. If someone approaches you with an idea, pay attention even if it does not sound like a good idea. Do your research and look deeper into it, you just might find the goose that laid the golden egg hidding in there some where.
When the Page of Pentacles is a part of yourself, you are being urged to think more like the Page of Pentacle would think. Change your way of seeing the issues at hand and you can find a solution that can be financially rewarding.

Which side do you fall on. The card urges you to look long and hard at your sitation and to make adjustments to bring balance in your life. A balance of the two energies by far creates an extremely powerful situation for you.
